Introducing Kids Time, a New Internal Programme

Why we introduced it

As our headcount grows, more of our people are balancing childcare with work.

We already had shortened working hours, but Kids Time answers those who want to keep working full time and keep their careers moving.
By clearly setting aside the evening hours that are hard to work through, for nursery pick-up or making dinner, the programme gives people a way to hold work and family together with confidence. It supports motivation and career continuity.

How Kids Time works

Who it is for

Full-time employees
Employees for whom evening work is difficult because of childcare (conditions apply)
What it covers

Up to three hours between 16:00 and 19:00 can be taken as Kids Time (a break)
The work covered by that time can be done at another time
For example: three hours of Kids Time from 16:00 to 19:00, then working from 19:00 to 22:00
What it achieves

Employees with young children can stay in full-time work
Higher satisfaction and motivation
Longer-term development of people, by supporting career continuity
